Not all moms are techie (I know!).
I’ll add more to it as I learn and discover more stuff. Enjoy!
Disclosure: Please note that some of the links below are affiliate links, there is no additional cost to you. I will earn a small commission if you decide to make a purchase using my links. I recommend these because they are helpful and useful and I had a good experience with them, not because of the small commissions I make if you decide to buy something. Please do not spend any money on these products unless you feel you need them or that they will help you achieve your goals. 🙂
If you need help signing up with these products, feel free to email me and I would be glad to help you.
Interserver is my new choice for web hosting.
They have amazing customer support (who reply right away) and have great uptime stats. 🙂
Why get a self hosted website? Because it is more professional. This is a good investment and people will trust you more because you invest in yourself.
The best part is that you get your first month for only 1c if you sign up under my link and then you lock in the 5USD per month price after. No price surprises when it's time to renew your web hosting.
Let me know if you need help in setting up your WordPress website. Email me at - firstname.lastname@example.org.
I use Thrive Themes and the Thrive Content Builder for this blog. WordPress' native post creator is very hard to customize. Using the Thrive Content Builder saves me time in creating my posts and also ensures that my posts are mobile friendly and pleasing to the eyes. 🙂
Thrive Themes is kind of costly if you compare it with other themes out there but I assure you that the cost is worth it.
Here is a video about how to use the Thrive Content Builder. Once you use Thrive, you will never go back again.
I buy my domain names from namecheap.
What is a domain name? It's your website name or address. For example, mommytasha.com. Buy a domain name that fits with your brand and buy it right away.
Namecheap will also give you free WhoIsGuard so you can keep your information secure online.
Don't wait to buy your domain name for your website because someone might beat you to it. 🙂
I use hotjar to check if my users are able to navigate my website. It's interesting to watch where the people go with hotjar's visitor video recordings.
Best of all, you can use it for free. 🙂
Elegant Themes has a lot of themes available.
They now have their own front end builder. 🙂 Check the video below for the preview.
The best part is that they are so affordable! You can get their lifetime developer license for only 249USD (one time payment) and you'll have access to all their current themes and plug ins plus all other future ones.
That's a super great deal if you ask me.
I use Shareist for Social Media Management.
According to their website, "It is a content marketing platform which helps you manage your content marketing process from beginning to end..." It allows you to save content on your inbox with them.
What I love about them is that you can schedule your social media posts to post repeatedly like everyday, every week, every month or even every year. 🙂
You can try out their service FREE for a month.
This is where I usually make social media posters for Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
I also use this for blog post graphics.
It's very easy to use and they have an introductory drill to help you use this online app. Your client can also create designs from it and then share it with you so you can use it too.
I love their customer service. Also, you can use all their features even if you only have a free account with them. You can use their free plan for up to 1,000 email contacts on your email list.
Right now they also have added the ability to create landing pages right from their platform like leadpages does.
In order to be financially free, you need to have multiple sources of income. Below are the resources I use to ensure that cash is flowing even while I'm asleep.
Since I have started working from home, I saw that continuing to invest in SSS would not be a viable solution for me if I want to have a good life when I retire. SO I opted to invest my money in Mutual Funds and Stocks instead under the supervision of Brother Bo Sanchez.
The great thing is that Brother Bo also provided annual members like me with additional benefits:
I get all of that plus stocks updates and more for less than 5,000 Php per year (cheaper than a new cellphone or an equivalent of 25 Hazelnut Mocha Frappes from Starbucks. Check out the Truly Rich Club here to learn more about it.
Another source of income for me is affiliate marketing. In learning affiliate marketing, you will also be introduced to online marketing. I am currently a member of Wealthy Affiliate and they have courses covering Affiliate Marketing and Online Marketing.
The best thing about them is that they will also provide you with managed WordPress hosting free for up to 25 websites. That's a great deal if you ask me!
They also have weekly trainings about online marketing so the content of their courses is always updated.
Check out Wealthy Affiliate here. Below is an overview of what they offer for just around 16,000 Php per year.
