We had the Instant Virtual Skills April live meet up last April 16 at Rosewood Pointe, Taguig City.
That day, Jomar taught us about cool and very useful stuff:
You need to make sure that you use the right words for your headlines as this will be the first thing that people will see. You also need to make sure that your headline grabs the attention of your target audience.
I am still practicing this one and will need to think about the headlines that I use.
Optimizing your blog posts is also very important. I try to think about what topic I would like to be known for or about what topic I would like to write about. Then I think about what kind of keywords people will be using to arrive at my blog so I could rank at Google.
Very basic I know. However, I think it works because this blog now has 16 organic searches according to Google Analytics. I believe that's good because this blog is just new. 🙂
Many online marketers talk about segmenting your email list to increase email engagement, build loyalty, and increase your email open and click-through rates.
I am also thinking of segmenting my email list in this blog. Maybe segmenting them to people who have online jobs and people who don't have online jobs yet? This will allow me to send more helpful and appropriate emails based on their current Virtual Career standing.
Jomar then shared a bonus info to us. 😀
He told us about how to save money in buying from Uniqlo. He said that they usually put unbought items up for sale every week. His tip was to check out the clothes in the far corners of the cabinets.
I can't wait to try out this last tip. Haha. :D
